Adiabatic cooler
An adiabatic cooler is a type of cooling system that reduces air temperature using the principle of adiabatic cooling, which involves evaporation of water without adding external energy (like a compressor in traditional AC systems). It’s often used in dry, hot climates where humidity is low.
Dry Cooler
An air-cooled fluid cooler (also sometimes called an air-cooled heat exchanger or dry cooler) is a device used to remove heat from a fluid (usually water, glycol, or oil) without the use of water-based cooling towers. Instead, it uses ambient air to cool the fluid via a heat exchanger and fans.
Hot Water Coils
A hot water coil consists of a series of metal tubes (usually copper) with fins attached to increase surface area. These coils are installed inside air handlers, furnaces, or ductwork.
Brine Coil
In some specialty food setups, “brine coil” could be slang or shorthand for a cooling coil in a tank of brine used to chill or maintain temperature during curing or fermentation.
Thermic fluid Coil
